Ellen Henderson CPDT- KA certified AKC CGC certified

Leader of the Pack VC offers group classes, private training, CGC training and a puppy program.

Ellen believes that continuing education is vital for both dogs and their owners. Ellen strives to provide that education for you and your dog in the most enjoyable way possible. Whether you want your dog to continue their obedience training to the next level or if you wish to have some fun and learn some new ways to challenge your dog, Ellens got you covered!

Ellen has been living with dogs her whole life and has worked with them professionally since 2008 as a trainer/dog handler. Once she graduated from CSULB with a degree in psychology, she quickly realized she wanted to make a career out of her passion: working with dogs and their owners. To further her knowledge of dog behaviors and training, she has studied many other methods, including world-renowned trainer Dr. Ian Dunbar and attended his seminar in San Diego in 2012. Ellen also loves reading books by her favorite dog mentors, Karen Pryor, Patricia McConnell, Ian Dunbar, and Dr. Karen Becker.

Her strengths lie in rehabilitating shy/aggressive dogs back into the pack. Teaching a dog how to be a “dog” again is rewarding. She specializes in puppy development and working with kids and dogs to ensure both are safe and happy in the home. Ellen plans on working in this field until she retires and is hungry to continue learning and teaching man’s best friend.

Ellen is ready to start your dog on its way to leading a happy, calm, and stable life!
